Megadeth UK Biography

Megadeth UK were put together by Daz (Lead Vocals/Guitar) and Richie (Drums/Backing Vocals) at the tail end of 2007. After leading a previous Megadeth tribute band and being life long Megadeth fans they decided to re-create the ultimate Megadeth tribute band and concentrate on a more high energy approach. The catalyst to forming the new and improved band was listening to Warchest and in particularly the Clash of the Titans cd which showcased Megadeth at their fiercest.

It was with this in mind that they set upon the task of searching for the ultimate bass player and lead guitarist who shared the same passion and playing ability in order to create the greatest tribute to Megadeth.

This search did not take long thanks mainly to the power of Myspace! Within a matter of weeks of advertising the band had found the perfect players in the form of Luke (lead guitar) and Russ (bass player). All four members shared the same vision and passion which made song choices and rehearsal so much fun and productive.

The band all agreed that the time period to concentrate on was from Killing is My Business right through to Countdown to Extinction. Although everyone has their favourite albums and selected songs from other albums it was agreed that this is the definitive era for Megadeth fans and what critics suggest is the bands’ most visionary and productive period.

The set list is a selection 26 songs that include material that has not been played live by the real Megadeth for some years. Songs like:

Good Mourning/Black Friday, The Conjuring, Rust in Peace..Polaris, Liar, Hook in Mouth and My Last Words.

What Megadeth fans will experience at all of the Megadeth UK live appearances will be a high energy set full of thrash, fast solos, fast drums and quite possibly sore necks!

The band looks forward to seeing you all on their travels across the UK and beyond and also listening to what you want to hear in 2009 and the years beyond that.
